How long is the course?

The course runs for 6-weeks, with 1x per week, each lasting 60 minutes.

This format gives students time to absorb material and practice in between sessions.

 Is it completely online?

Yes! The entire program is held online using a secure and student-friendly platform and video conferencing on Zoom.

All materials and communications are digital, allowing flexibility and convenience from home.

Who teaches the course?

The course is led by Dr. Lou Matthews, a STEM leader and educator with over 25 years of experience in supporting a diverse learners and making math accessible and engaging.

What grade level is this for?

The course is ideal for students in grades 6-8*, especially those:

How will I know if my child is making progress?

We provide:

  • Summaries of each session
  • Assignment portal for monitoring assigned work
  • Instructor feedback after major lessons
  • Optional parent-teacher check-ins
  • A final summary of skills mastered

What if my child misses a session?

All sessions are recorded and available to enrolled students. We also offer optional office hours or catch-up support to ensure students stay on track.
